Liz has always been fascinated with the mind-body connection as a biology major, former massage therapist, and yoga instructor. She developed a passion for helping those with a
history of trauma heal and become more comfortable in their bodies after taking a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) workshop with Becky Morrissey, eRYT500, C-IAYT, in 2017 and recognizing how yoga and other somatic practices had changed her relationship with body. She sought refuge in her practice after a breast cancer diagnosis in 2018, and found a
sense of safety by connecting with her breath and further exploration with Becky Morrissey’s Embodied Breath Pranayama teachings.
She is married to her husband of 24 years and was a stay-at-home to her two daughters who are in college. She now loves snuggling, walking, and hiking with her Goldendoodle, Ozzie.
When her oldest daughter was a senior in high school, Liz decided to return to work as a chemical dependency counselor at an inpatient facility. She followed her heart and got her
master’s in counseling to unite mind and body approaches to healing. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, and will soon
complete her RYT-500 in March 2025 as a TCTSY facilitator.
Liz wants to hold space for others to explore, become more self-aware, and feel empowered to make choices from a sense of agency, in class and their lives.
